The Cokato Museum presents the exhibit “A Kernel of Time: Celebrating the 70th Annual Cokato Corn Carnival”. The exhibit encompasses the history of the community event, starting from its origins in 1950 up to present day. Highlighting past carnival entertainment like the bed races, royalty coronation, and corn eating contest, the display reveals how the Corn Carnival has evolved over the years.
The exhibit is open now-September 28th during regular museum hours. It will also be open over the Corn Carnival for extended hours. Stop by and see photographs and artifacts of the Corn Carnival--including crowns, sashes, and dresses of past royalty, sound recordings of the Cokato Corn Carnival Band, and even a video of the 1979 bed races! We look forward to seeing you there! Comments are closed.
