Volunteer

Current Projects

We have many ongoing projects that our volunteers are working on right now.  Some of those projects include:

• Decorate- Lend a hand at decorating the museum for the holidays.
• Greeter/Docent - Provide guidance to our patrons in the Museum and Akerlund Studio.
• Exhibits- Aid in creating interactive and educational elements to our exhibits.​

Ongoing Opportunities

If you would like to volunteer at the museum, we have many different projects that you could work on.  If you are interested in...

• Technology - you could help scan photographs, make YouTube videos, and help find ways to integrate technology into exhibits.
• Gardening - if you enjoy gardening you could join our garden crew and help weed and maintain the garden.
• Research - collect research on the topic of your choice for our archives. Could include oral histories, making maps of Cokato, or doing the From Our Files for the Enterprise-Dispatch.
• Writing - research and write and article for our Newsletter about Cokato, the local area, and its people.
• Program Planning - if you have education experience can help with planning programs for children or adults.
• Construction/Design - help design new exhibits, update current exhibits and decorate the gallery for the holidays.
